Community Ecology in a Changing World |
Hello! I am a community ecologist interested in the role that animals play in ecosystem functioning, how species interactions (especially plant-animal interactions) drive ecosystem responses to disturbances in rapidly changing ecosystems, and how to manage ecosystems for biodiversity and resilience in the face of accelerating global change. My projects are diverse, spanning terrestrial and coastal ecosystems from subalpine meadows to coral atolls in the Central Tropical Pacific. Through my research, I aim to advance our fundamental understanding of ecology, foster curiosity and wonder, and apply discoveries to improve conservation, restoration, and management.
